Registration will be open to all interested teams.

If you were registered for the 2020 race and wish to run in 2021, you need to complete the deferral process to receive your discount code. You must defer by November 1, 2020 to receive your race credit. Team captains are allowed a one-time transfer to another person if they are not able to participate in the 2021 race. If you’re trying to decide if you want to put together a team to run the Wild Rogue Relay for 2021, here are our top 10 reasons you don’t want to run it.

  • 221 miles and 30+ hours of racing on permitted, marked course, including traffic control signs, runner on road signs, directional signs and trail marking through Southern Oregon’s most beautiful scenery

April 1, 2021:
Price to rent volunteers increases to $200 per volunteer. Teams who have not yet paid for volunteers will be asked to pay the higher fee. Any team who requests volunteers after March 31st, 2021 and who has not paid will be required to pay $200 per volunteer.

Shirt Size Deadline (TBD):
Last day to enter team member shirt size information for guaranteed shirt sizes. (We will do our best to accommodate shirt size requests for team members added after this date. Most of the time we are able to give you the proper size.)

May 1st, 2021: Last day to register your volunteer for a spot on the course.

Packet pickup is at Pear Blossom Park behind Common Block Brewing between 4 pm to 7 pm
You may also make arrangements prior to June 9th to pick up your packet at Hart-Tish Park on Thursday evening if you are planning on camping there. Please email sarah at sourwoodrunning.com to pre-arrange your packet pickup NO LATER THAN JUNE 16th. If you have not made arrangements with Sarah, your packet pickup will not be at Hart-Tish on Friday morning.

Packet pickup is also available race morning. Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time to complete the process. Teams starting before 5:30 am are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to pick up their packets on Thursday.

Volunteer Requirement

Every 12 and 9 person teams must provide two (2) Volunteers who are 18 years of age or older*; 6 person teams are required to provide one (1) volunteer. All volunteers must be physically capable to perform the assigned duties. Volunteer shifts will last between 6 and 8 hours on average. Volunteers will be responsible for choosing a location and signing up for the shift; sign-ups will be on a first-come-first-serve basis so be sure your volunteers are registered by May 1st avoid a $50 penalty per volunteer which will be assessed at packet pickup. We expect volunteer shift signups to open in late February.

*Kids under 18 can volunteer but can be accompanied by an adult

Optional Rent-A-Volunteer Program

You may opt to rent a volunteer(s) for $120 per volunteer upon registration or by request after registration. Please note that changing your status by March 31 could result in an additional $80 per volunteer if your payment is received after March 31st. Please email sarahbrendle@sourwoodrunning.com to change your volunteer status.

All teams must pay for volunteers before picking up their team packet information. If you do not pay for your volunteers on or before packet pickup, your team will not be able to participate in the race.

NO SHOWS:

If you have elected to provide volunteers and they do not show on race day, you will be assessed a $500 fine before you are able to collect your finishers items.

Please help us acknowledge the importance of each of our volunteers! Without a group of dedicated volunteers, both team-provided and rented, this race would not be possible.

Are you excited to run this relay but you don’t think you can convince five or eleven friends that it will be as amazing as you think it would be?

No problem!

We ALWAYS have teams who are looking for runners, especially as the race draws near. You can register to be a part of the runner pool on our registration site. Team captains who are actively looking for runners will be notified of your interest and can get your email address, and all team captains will be able to access the list of runners looking for teams at any time. If you are willing to run on either a 12 person team or a 6 person team, you will need to register twice.

Our best advice is to be patient. Starting in April or so, we have so many teams looking for runners, you’d have a hard time not finding someone to run with!
